Good news for families in need! The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) is increasing its payments through the Benazir Kafalat Program. Starting in January 2025, the amount given to needy women will rise from Rs10,500 to Rs13,500 every three months. This increase will help many families across Pakistan.
BISP Chairperson, Senator Rubina Khalid, shared that by the end of this year, 10 million families will receive support from the program. She thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for boosting the budget to make this possible.
Besides financial aid, the government is planning the Benazir Skill Training Program to help women and their families learn skills that can lead to job opportunities. This training will meet both local and international standards, giving participants better chances for employment.
The BISP also supports education through the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif Program, which provides scholarships to children from low-income families. To qualify, children must attend school regularly. Girls receive more financial support than boys to encourage their education.
In addition, the Benazir Nashonuma Program focuses on the health of pregnant women and young children. It provides nutritious food and financial assistance to help reduce stunting and improve overall health.
These programs show how the BISP is working to improve the lives of families in Pakistan by providing both financial support and opportunities for better futures.
