The Punjab government has decided to completely stop kite flying and making dangerous kite strings. This was decided in a meeting of the Punjab Cabinet Committee on Law and Privatization.

The meeting was led by Punjab Finance Minister Mujtaba Shujaur Rahman, with Law Minister Sohaib Bharath also there, and Local Government Minister Zeeshan Rafique joining through video link.

The committee has agreed to change the Punjab Arms Ordinance 1965 and the Prohibition of Kite Flying Ordinance 2001. These changes will bring a full ban on kite flying and making harmful kite strings.

From now on, making and selling kite strings, especially those made with metal wires or other harmful stuff, is strictly not allowed. If someone breaks these rules, they could go to jail for at least three years for flying kites. If someone makes or sells dangerous kite strings, they could face at least five years in jail or a heavy fine.

The new rules also say that if a child is caught flying kites, their parents will have to pay the fine. Plus, making, selling, or repairing guns without a license is also banned now.

These steps are taken to keep people safe and stop dangerous activities. The government hopes that everyone will follow these rules to keep the community safe.
