The Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC) has made an important decision for all students in Pakistan. Starting from the next school year, the passing marks for exams will go up.

What’s the New Rule?

Before, students needed 33 marks to pass their exams. Now, students will need to get at least 40 marks to pass. This rule is for all schools across the country. The IBCC decided this during a meeting at the Karachi Secondary Education Board. They want to make sure students are learning better and doing well in their studies.

Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah, who is the Executive Director of the IBCC, shared this news with everyone in a press conference. He also said that students might get some extra marks, called “grace marks,” to help them with the new passing requirement. This extra help is to make sure students don’t feel too much pressure with the higher passing marks.

Why These Changes?

These changes are part of a bigger plan to improve education in Pakistan. The IBCC wants to make sure all students have the chance to learn and succeed. By raising the passing marks, they hope students will work harder and learn more.

So, for all students in Pakistan, remember that from next year, you will need to score at least 40 marks to pass your exams. But don’t worry too much because there will be some extra help available to support you. The goal is to make sure everyone is getting a good education and doing their best in school.
